The Mason County Sheriffs Office Volunteers are committed to working in partnership with the community to improve the quality of life in our county. The volunteer program was established to promote effective use of the many citizens of Mason County who wish to donate their time and talents to further the goals of the Mason County Sheriffs Office in addressing the needs of the citizens of Mason County. As a team, the volunteers will contribute to the safety and security of the community by developing partnerships to support the reduction of crime and to provide information to both the Sheriffs Office and the community with fair, judicious, and respectful services for all individuals. The mission of the volunteers is to provide support to the Mason County Sheriffs Office that is of the highest quality and to be responsive to the needs of the community.

We partner with law enforcement to provide courteous service with respect for the rights and dignity of all the people we serve.

We strive to manage our resources carefully and effectively.

To bring specialized skills, experience, and abilities that would otherwise not be available in the Sheriffs Office budget.

volunteer2To grow in partnership with law enforcement and increase our assistance to the Sheriff and his staff. This will allow deputies to focus resources on more urgent law enforcement and community needs.

To look for opportunities to interact with our community in order to educate and increase understanding and good will between law enforcement and the citizens of Mason County.

To recognize our weaknesses, build on our strengths, and grow in professionalism and teamwork.

You also have the option to pick up an application and say hello to the volunteer on duty at the North Precinct at 23293 NE Highway 3, Belfair, WA.  They will be glad to tell about the program and answer questions for you.
