Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard
The Mason County Sheriff’s Office recently reorganized their multi-jurisdictional Honor Guard to better represent the Sheriff’s Office and the Mason County Law Enforcement community. The Honor Guard is now staffed with members that represent a cross section of the Sheriff’s Office. Led by Sergeant Trevor Severance form the Patrol Division, the unit consists of two Patrol Deputies, two Corrections Deputies, and one Community Service Officer.
The Honor Guard is a collaborative partnership with other Law Enforcement entities within Mason County. Officer Tracy Rollins of the Squaxin Island Tribal Police Department serves as the Deputy Commander for the unit. Sheriff Salisbury stated, “The Honor Guard is an important element in honoring the fallen men and women in our profession, as well as preserving the history and traditions of the Sheriff’s Office.”
The Honor Guard was founded under a regional concept and provides opportunities for all local agencies to participate. The unit is a collateral duty for employees and is funded by the generosity of the community. If you would like more information or would like to contribute to the Honor Guard, contact Sgt. Severance: email@example.com.
