SHERIFF SWEARS IN NEWEST DEPUTY
Sheriff Casey Salisbury swore in Deputy Brian Spera at a gathering including friends and family in the sheriff’s office on May 27, 2016.
Sheriff Salisbury said to Spera, “I’m pleased to see your family with you and supporting you today. Our agency values our many support networks and for our deputies, that starts at home. ”
Deputy Brian Spera has law enforcement experience as a Federal Police Officer at Naval Base Kitsap PD and is a veteran of the United States Marines. He also previously served as a Corrections Officer for the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office Jail. He will be assigned to Field Training Officers until he is confirmed to attend the Basic Law Enforcement Academy at the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Center in Burien where he will receive 720 hours of training over a 5 month period.
