Sheriff Salisbury Works to Resolve 2018 Budget Shortfall
On November 1st, 2017, Sheriff Salisbury and his leadership team met with the BOCC for the regularly scheduled budget workshop. During the meeting there were several ideas discussed about possible methods by which the budget shortfall could be addressed so that the county would not have to lay off any more critical county employees. Last week Sheriff Salisbury was asked by Commissioner Shutty to provide a more detailed explanation of the ideas that were discussed at the budget workshop. Attached you will find a copy of the letter that was forwarded to the BOCC as requested. Sheriff Salisbury and his team believe these ideas will bridge the gap in the county budget and prevent a need for any further cuts to personnel in county departments.
