Shelton, WA - Monday, August 2, 2010
The Mason County Sheriff’s Office is investigating 3 bank robberies that occurred on Monday Feb. 1st, Thursday Feb. 25th and Thursday July 29, 2010, all at the Allyn branch of the Kitsap Bank. In the 1st robbery, a lone white male walked into the bank armed with a black semi-automatic handgun and demanded money. The suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of cash. One witness reported seeing the dye pack explode and pink smoke emanating from the front of the suspect as he fled. In the 2nd robbery, the same suspect entered the bank, but no weapon was seen. Also in the 2nd robbery, the suspect threatened a teller and forced her to walk with him out of the bank. In the 3rd robbery, the suspect forced his way into the bank and demanded money.
