Sunday, February 15, 2015 On Sunday night, February 15, 2015, at 5:40 PM, Deputies responded to the 100 block of E. Blackhawk Court in Belfair, regarding a call to check the welfare of a couple in their late 60’s that were in ill health and not answering their front door to expected visitors.

The WA State Region 3 Critical Incident Investigation Team (CIIT) Detectives lead by the Grays Harbor County Sheriff’s Office completed their investigation regarding the fatal shooting incident that occurred on January 2, 2015, where a senior sergeant with the Mason County Sheriff’s Office shot an armed man.  The culmination of the investigation revealed that the shooting was justified.

K-9 Receives Bullet Proof Vest

The founder and president of “All K-9’s Go To Heaven”, Marti Tennant, joined together with a Seattle Seahawks football player and purchased a K-9 Storm Kevlar “bullet proof” vest for $2,300.00.  The vest was then donated to the Mason County Sheriff’s Office patrol K-9 “Solo”.


Alleged Altercation Ends In Shooting Death

The Mason County Sheriff’s Office has received several complaints regarding an unknown person identifying themselves as a Law Enforcement Officer working in the Warrants Division of the Mason County Sheriff’s Office, advising the receiver of the call that there is a warrant for their arrest and if they do not provide their credit card information to pay for the warrant, bail, etc., then they will be arrested and taken to jail. THIS TYPE OF CALL IS A SCAM!

Yesterday, Sunday, September 7, 2014, at 1148 hours, the Mason County Sheriff’s Office received a call that a 45 year old Shelton man with multiple arrest warrants, was currently located at a residence within the 100 block of E. Spencer Glen Drive, Shelton, which was also in violation of a court order.
