08 SHS GRAD REPORTS TO JBLM AS DOCTOR
Luke Pittman, a 2008 graduate of Shelton High School, recently received his doctor of medicine degree from the University of California San Diego School of Medicine. He shall spend his internship and residency at Madigan Army Medical Center at Joint Base Lewis-McChord.
While at Shelton High School, Pittman was a track athlete and was also honored as a Washington Scholar.
Pittman graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 2012 where his class motto was ‘For More Than Ourselves.’ He was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army
Pittman’s parents still reside in Shelton. His mother, Linda Pittman, serves as an instructor at Olympic College in Bremerton. His father, Luther Pittman, serves as a detective for the Mason County Sheriff’s Office.
Pittman reported to Madigan Army Medical Center on Wednesday, June 9th where he will practice internal medicine. Upon reporting to JBLM for duty, Pittman will be promoted to the rank of Captain.
